SoundCheckEarth

After taking photos of musicians in New Olreans two week before I went to Joshua Tree, I didn't expect to find and photograph musicians playing SoundCheckEarth amongst the rocks of Joshua Tree. SoundCheckEarth was a symphonic musical event, incorporating sounds of 17 musicians with those of the desert. It took place at Cap Rock in Joshua Tree National Park on Earth Day Weekend 2022. Kennedy Verrett is the composer and Eva Soltes is the producer of SoundCheckEarth. It was sponsored by the Lou Harrison House & Joshua Tree National Park.
